Me VS Modem

So I decided to play MGS after my PS3 formatted itself, but I needed to download it.
First, the modem deactivated itself.
Then PSN was under maintenance.
Finally, I got it to work, but the modem crashed and is in a update loop...
Now I'm using the internet at the library

Good, just hard to access internet. I have Linux on laptop now, but modem is not working for it and only works on 
's laptop, so makes things difficult
Otherwise, is good, but no MMD .n.
MMD does not work on Linux, and friend's laptop has no antialias, plus cannot render pictures, so I have no MMD unless at school (though no DirectX, so no PMDE >0<). Not fun, so am bored and watching my entire anime collection (70 hours) instead of doing homework XD
